    Vision

We provide strategy and frontline services to help our clients achieve their objectives.

We develop and deliver sustainable models of engagement and learning based on innovation and diversity. We work in partnership with public, third and private sector clients in culture, education, community engagement and training.

Diverse City was established in 2005 by Nick Merwitzer and Claire Hodgson and is a not for profit social enterprise.

    Culture and Learning

Our work aims to transform debates about the value, function and impact of culture and the arts in learning. We aim to deliver better learner outcomes and empower participants. We influence policy and enable cultural organisations to re-imagine the value of culture and art by strengthening the role of learning. We help learning organisations to explore the impact of culture and the arts by facilitating access to artistic talent and pathways.

    Diversity and Creativity

Diversity and creativity are central to all we do. We approach training and community engagement creatively and employ a diverse range of artists and trainers to deliver our projects. We believe that engaging communities and individuals in a creative process brings about personal and social change. We use the performing arts as a way of teaching the values of diversity, entrepreneurship and innovation. All our projects are bespoke . We work in consultation with clients and communities to create work that is relevant, timely and unique.
