Workshops for
Professional Organisations

Diverse City promotes the use of performing arts as a means to initiate development within professional organisations. We work in collaboration with organisations to develop workshops that will:

• facilitate communication and collaboration within, and between, organisations;
• enable participants, including those without artistic experience, to develop their creativity;
• utilise theatre techniques to develop participants problem solving and mediation skills;
• utilise performance techniques to develop participants communication skills.
  

We currently deliver the following workshop packages for organisations and companies:

- Responding to the Disability Discrimination Act (half day);

- Managing challenging behaviour (one day);

- Using drama techniques to engage young people (one day);

- Building a team and problem solving (half day).

Examples
In 2007 Diverse City delivered training to local authority youth offending teams in Birmingham, London and Manchester in how to engage young people using theatre and drama techniques.
